BOOKING A SESSION
In order to get your desired time and date available, book your session as early as you can. My schedule is often booked 4 – 5 weeks in advance. I accept a limited number of sessions per month so I have the time needed to perfect the quality of your images.
$200 deposit per session is payable at the time of booking in order to retain my service.
WHEN TO SCHEDULE A SESSION
Maternity portraits are best taken between 32 – 36 weeks of pregnancy, when your belly is showing nicely and before you are feeling too uncomfortable to pose.
Because babies rarely arrive on their due dates, it is best to book as far in advance so I can add your estimated due date to my calendar and secure availability. Pre-booking also allows you to prepare for the session ahead of time, such as planning your wardrobe, indicating which poses you would like me to include, and communicating your overall vision for your session BEFORE your new bundle of joy arrives. When your baby arrives, please contact me as soon as possible so we can secure a date within two weeks of your baby’s birth. The exception—if you know your c-section or induction date, the session date can be booked in advance. My calendar fills up quickly and I try my best to leave spaces open for last minute newborns. Every effort will be made to accommodate newborns under 14 days old; however, if you contact me after baby is born, availability cannot be guaranteed.
Baby sessions can be scheduled at any time. 4 to 8 months of age is a great time for portraits because babies can support their head while on their tummy &/or sit up confidently and have so many adorable expressions.
Child sessions can be scheduled at any time. If they are younger and still take naps it is best to schedule the session an hour or so after a nap so your child is happy and alert. Milestones such as birthdays, holidays, baptisms, etc. are great times to have portraits of your children done.
Family portraits can be scheduled at anytime. If anyone in your family has outdoor allergies, it is best to schedule your session during a time when they are not suffering, or request a studio session.
All sessions can be in the studio or at an outdoor location. An additional $100 fee may apply depending on location (fee covers any park permit, travel and assistant costs).
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION
After your images are reviewed and retouched (about two weeks after the session) I will contact you to schedule your image reveal and ordering session. At this meeting, we will sit down together and go through each photo, pick your favorites, design your album and choose any additional products that will meet all your needs. All product orders must be paid in full before your products will be delivered to you. Payment plans are available upon request and a 10% discount will be given to those who pay in full during the ordering session.
Only one reschedule is permitted. Please be considerate and inform me at least 48 hours before your session.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Cash, major credit cards or Paypal are preferred.
We take the utmost care with respect to the development, quality and delivery of prints, albums and canvases. If your product is not perfect upon receipt, it may be returned for replacement.
